Ms. Grace & Ms. Shannon

Our focus is on building a strong foundation for success by helping our students to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Classroom Philosophy

The pre-kindergarten stage of development is a period of rapid growth and learning. With the proper encouragement and guidance, young children are able to start developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to succeed in school and beyond. We feel that this growth can best be accomplished in a relaxed and caring environment that respects the child’s individuality and natural ability to learn.

Program

Our program follows the Early Learning Standards for North Carolina Preschoolers and the National Association for the Education of Young Children guidelines. NAEYC bases its recommendations on research, learning theory, and fundamental principles of child development. In keeping with the NAEYC guidelines, we offer a program that is developmentally appropriate for four-year-olds. Our activities and experiences are selected to promote growth in all areas. To meet the needs of each individual student, the curriculum provides for differences in maturation, learning styles, needs, and interests.

Grace Bradley

I have my degree in Early childhood education and taught from 2008 – 2012. When my oldest daughter Charlotte was born I focused on my children until 2017 when my youngest daughter Eleanor started preschool at Nativity. When I’m not at Nativity, we love to hike and camp as a family and of course travel when we can. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to teach again and can’t wait to meet you and your child!!

Shannon Kennedy

I am Shannon Kennedy and I have over 10 years of experience  teaching Pre-K and working with children of all ages. I started working at Nativity in 2021 and it’s been a joy as well as so much fun to be a part of teaching and preparing children for that next step. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our 2 cats and our little dog Tucker, watching football and spending time with family.
