Our focus is on building a strong foundation for success by helping our students to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Classroom Philosophy

In our classroom, we believe that children learn best when they are engaged, active, and interested in what they are learning. At two, they are striving for their first steps of independence, yet still, want the comfort and security of familiarity. This year we will explore a variety of sensory, cognitive, language, social, and cultural activities. Shannon and I are intentional and fully prepared with curriculum to guide the children daily. We believe that each child is a unique gift from God and we are blessed to be a part of their lives!

Our Teachers

Kaila Mashburn

My family’s journey started at Nativity when my oldest daughter, Miller was enrolled in the Little Angels class in 2016. I began to substitute teach in early 2019 and was then given the opportunity to be hired onto the staff at NPK. My husband’s name is Kiel and we have two daughters, Miller and Marlo. I am from Georgia and we have lived in Asheville for 5 years. I am looking forward to serving the community at Nativity!
