In our classroom, we strongly believe children retain what they learn through hands on curriculum and interactive teaching. You will see your child grow socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. At two, we encourage them to become more independent but also let them know that Lexi and I are here to help guide and comfort them as they need us. During the year we will explore through sensory, cognitive, language, and social activities. Each child is unique and gifted and we are prepared to help them shine brightly!

This is Katey’s s year sixth year teaching at NPK. Katey has an Associates Degree in Education and has worked with all different ages at NPK. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, working in her garden, taking care of her chickens and goats and playing with her sweet Border Collies, Harper and Heidi.
This is my first year at Nativity, and I could not be more excited to be a part of this community! I am currently enrolled in a dual – licensure program for Elementary Education and Special Education from Western Governors University. I have lots of experience working with children including babysitting my 2, 5, and 7 year old siblings, being the childcare provider at a local church, and being a Teacher’s Assistant at other preschools. I have lived in Hendersonville, NC since I was born and enjoy hiking, running, camping, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. I have lots of animals, including 3 dogs, 3 cats, a parrot, chickens, ducks, and a mini Juliana pig!
